I created this blend for my own personal use and have found it to be so effective that I wanted to offer as an options that others might consider.
Echinacea is often recommended for common colds. My personal experience has been that it works much more effectively as Echinacea Goldenseal in combination.
Their basic actions are:
Echinacea – stimulates the immune system
Goldenseal – acts as a tonic on mucus membranes
One other interesting piece of experience I have gained with Echinacea and Goldenseal is that it is important to begin supplementing with this combination at the very first sign of am impending cold. I miss the mark sometimes if I mistake a few sneezes for a reaction to something in the air.
When I am diligent about taking this tincture at the first sign, it is rare for me to get a full-blown cold.
There are other places I have used it as a general supplement for infection. I have soaked an infected gum for half a minute or so before swallowing. I even used it once topically. It is my antibiotic-like and/or antiseptic-like formula of choice.
